What is the difference between SDL and TDL door construction?

SDL stands for simulated divided light. TDL stands for true divided light. Both techniques are used to offer a glass window in a multiple pane style. SDL construction includes a single glass unit where the bars are fastened to the face of the glass. TDL doors contain multiple glass panes that are separated by bars during construction.
